Relive those thrilling days of youth as you hunt down and sink your opponent’s ships before they sink yours! Play against your iPhone or iPad, or against people from around the world using Game Center. Play on a tiny 5-by-5 grid or on a giant 20-by-20 one. Choose how many ships you’ll have to sink. Use sonar to sweep the ocean and find enemy ships. You can also set the level of the device’s intelligence from “Dunce” to “Ruthless.”
Awesome sound effects and graphics get you in the game as shells explode upon finding their mark, or make a weak “Spelunk!” when they miss. Alarms ring as ships sink. Stirring music and imagery greets the victor, a dirge and gloomy seas greet the loser.
Connect with friends and strangers via Apple’s Game Center to play opponents from around the world. The game is turn-based, so you can take a shot and go about your day. When it’s your turn, your iPhone or iPad will let you know. If you want, you can play several games at once against different people. If someone trounces you, click the “Rematch!” button to challenge them to another game. Can you unlock more achievements than your friends? Can you climb to the top of the global leaderboard?

Like playing Battleship but with sonar. I have lots of fun playing it!
It is like one of my childhood favorites only better! I love the sonar. The computer is really good and I like how I can adjust all the settings. I am having a blast playing the computer and now I can hardly wait to have War at Sea vs all my friends. Bravo!
No games AI should make me sweat like that. This game captures all of the fun and suspense of Battleship style play with a sleek interface and flawless portability between my iPhone and iPad. The Sonar feature adds a great twist and helps those unfamiliar with the game to get up to speed quickly. Bravo, DELA!
I love it! At first I thought it was just like Battleship, then as I played I got more excited than all of the Battleship games Ive ever played combined. I love the graphics and the "battle wrap-up," showing the roiling sea with one lone empty life-preserver tragically bobbing on the dark sea. Ill be sure to reply back once I see what the "Battle Won!" screen will show…Perhaps signing surrender papers on the deck of an aircraft carrier??
I never knew I would like a strategy game as much as I like this game. The interface is great and I like playing through the game center with other friends or even strangers! I am staying up too late playing this. I need an intervention!
